Board downgrades include deleted laminate stock; joined pieces, odd colours and/or second grade laminates (marked or scratched etc), alternate gloss base laminates, such as marble. Second grade timber selections with slight imperfections or indentations in the woodgrain. Board blanks manufactured in 'Single-Stage' pressings rather than our usual 'Two-Stage' process ie; the sandboard deck is glued together in full, leaving the footstrap inserts (t-nuts underside) to be made visible. Factory second foot pads and/or foot straps may be fitted to Ex-Hire & Factory Second boards. And since some of these boards are not made to our usual high standard of finish and attention to detail from the board shaper, some decks will not carry the Ocean Culture logo! (to be honest, even our downgraded boards are better shaped than some of our competition)
